Chocolate and Wine Pairings
For gift giving or hosting, there’s no better duo than chocolate and wine. . If you are looking for some great pairings, here are some of my favorites. There is nothing a bottle of wine and luxury chocolate can’t fix. We often only think of dark chocolate and red wine but don’t overlook the white wine and white chocolate combo. Let me know your favorites in the comments!
The Chocolate
Teuscher Chocolate
More than 80 years ago in a small town in the Swiss Alps Dolf Teuscher created the now the famous Teuscher recipes. Pairs well with red and white wine depending on the kind of chocolate.
HU Kitchen Chocolate
Motivated by their health and wellness learnings, the founders of HU set out to create a food brand that brought to life their passion for healthy ingredients and human-centric philosophy. Hu’s milk chocolate is less sweet and fuller bodied than regular milk chocolate so I prefer red wine with it.
Omnom Chocolate
Omnom produces small-batch, “bean-to-bar” chocolate in Iceland, using the finest cacao beans sourced worldwide. They are creative with textures and flavors, like “Black N’ Burnt Barley”, making it fun for a wine pairing.
